KIDU

KIDU - K(C)ompact Intelligent Drumming Unit is an open-source drumset that allows the user to upload any sound of their choice. The objective of this project is not to create a professional electronic musical instrument, but to help understand how an electronic musical instrument works.

The Product won us the "Top 5 project in the State" for the State Level Technical Project Exhibition.

We created the entire hardware using PVC pipes and upholstery material. We checked with a professional drummer to see how he feels when he hits the drum head. The material was selected to simulate an actual drum hit.
